Christmas is coming, and Santa Clause is probably in the middle of his gift shopping as we speak. Well, here we don’t celebrate the Christmas, but we do love fat old happy men, and that’s why i drew a jolly Santa for Kontera’s December Calendar.

If your a cartoon doodling newbie, you’re probably struggling with the basics – How big should the eyes be? Where should you draw the ears, and what is the right size of a nostril?? Every cartoonist have been through this step, and now I’ll be showing you a trick that will help you pass it with ease.
The simple trick which I’m about to show not only answer the above questions, but will actually help you come up with some nice final cartoons!

Yes, I know. I’ve already posted a ‘how to draw a pig‘ post. I didn’t mean to do this again. I was actually intending to draw a cow. seriously. But the cow’s ears turned out to be so small, that it felt better to make it a piggy.
Notice that in this quick speed doodling tutorial I show the ‘circles’ method of doodling – drawing a base for the pig shapes, and than it’s easier for me to go over the lines and create the final piggy.
