After you have become good at drawing eyes, then you can go for drawing a face which requires lot of skills to do with ease. If the eyes are perfect then small flaws in the face can be overlooked. So practice this tutorial with full concentration.

There are very minute things that you should look while drawing eyes such as eyelashes, eyebrows which differs between male and females.

How to Draw Eyes for Beginners?

ステップ 1: Lets begin with drawing the outline for the eye which of kite shape but not pointed. Keep the left side lower than the upper part.

ステップ 2: Now draw a circle inside it to show the eyeball.

ステップ 3: Draw the pupil at the centre along with the highlight.

ステップ 4: Darken the pupil with your pencil.

ステップ 5: Draw the upper and lower eyelid by following the upper and lower line of the eye.

ステップ 6: Draw few eyelashes in the upper and lower eyelid and darken as shown.

ステップ 7: Now draw more eyelashes and fill lines inside the eyeball connecting it with the pupil.

ステップ 8: Fill more lines inside it and darken it a bit.

ステップ 9: Shade the inner edges of the eyeball.

ステップ 10: Darken the outer edges of the pupil and give more lines.

ステップ 11: Darken the upper eyelashes.

ステップ 12: Now shade inside the eye and use your fingers to smoothen it.

How to Draw Female Eyes?

ステップ 1: Draw a curved line as an outline for the upper eye.

ステップ 2: Draw another curved line below the upper one to form the outline of the lower eye, they should meet at the right side as shown.

ステップ 3: Draw another curved line above the upper one to show the upper eyelid.

ステップ 4: Draw the iris and pupil.

ステップ 5: Draw eyelashes at the edges of upper and lower eyelids. The upper lashes should be longer and darker in case of females.

ステップ 6: Draw the outline for eyebrows and round shapes for highlights near the eye.

ステップ 7: Mark the nose by small sharp curve.

 

ステップ 8: Now fill the eyebrows with short heavy strokes for hair and give some shadow effect.

How to Draw Male Eyes?

ステップ 1: First draw the outline as shown and the three circles are the reflections.

ステップ 2: Darken the pupil.

ステップ 3: Lightly rub the iris with graphite to mix properly.

ステップ 4: Draw random lines within the iris to show shadows and highlights.

ステップ 5: Fill the areas outside the pupil to increase the depth of shadows.

ステップ 6: Darken the pupil the most and the inner edge of iris and outer edge of the pupil should also be darkened randomly but not that much and the in between area should be light. The next step is to blend each portion properly to give it a smooth finish as shown using colour blender.

 

ステップ 7: The next step is shade the eyelids and the outer part of the iris.

ステップ 8: Finally draw the eyelashes in the upper and lower eyelids. Keep in mind in case of males the upper eyelashes should not be as dark as that of females.

Drawing Anime or Cartoon Eyes

ステップ 1: Draw thin-thick-thin smooth curve for the eyelashes.

ステップ 2: Draw stretched circle starting from the eyelashes but do not make them touch.

ステップ 3: Draw partial shapes as illustrated for the iris and pupil.

ステップ 4: Draw two ovals bigger at the left than at right. Also draw smaller eyelash below the larger one as shown.

ステップ 5: Draw another thin-thick curve above the upper eyelid for eyebrow.

ステップ 6: Darken all the lines and remove all unwanted lines.

ステップ 7: Colour as your favourite anime.

ステップ 1: First draw a circle for the iris.

ステップ 2: Draw the upper and lower eyelid. Darken the iris and keep a small circular portion empty at the top for reflection.

ステップ 3: Draw an eyebrow such that it gives an expression of pain as shown.

ステップ 4: Draw eyelashes for male or female. In this I am drawing for a female.

ステップ 5: Draw twisting and curved lines in the shape of blunt hills at the right side of the lower eyelid which shows the tears.

ステップ 6: Draw the waves of teardrops downwards as shown.

How to Draw Eyebrows and Eyelashes?
